The Honor Choir is the premier vocal ensemble at BSE. The choir performs in the upstate area and serves as musical ambassadors for our school.

Honor Choir is by audition only for fourth and fifth grade students and required weekly practices begin in late August on Thursdays until 3PM.

*Members can’t participate in archery because weekly practice times are the same*

The choir trains in vocal methods, breath support, posture and performance techniques. These skills are demonstrated at events which have included:

  •National anthem performances at Wofford College, Converse College, USC-Upstate and Greenville Swamp Rabbits Hockey
  •Concerts at Dickens of a Christmas, Strawberry Hill, SC State Fair, BSE Open House, local assisted living and District Two offices
  •Annual Christmas Party Sing-along and Spring Concert & Awards

The Honor Choir also has a special relationship with the veteran’s community in Spartanburg County. We have performed at the American Legion Fall Conference in  in Columbia, SC; Stand Down day of service for needy veterans; Spartanburg Hall of Heroes event; Spartanburg Four Chaplains program and local legion meetings.
